the Cliffs of Moher are among the most beautiful and popular tourist destinations in Ireland. These majestic cliffs rise up to 702 feet above the Atlantic Ocean and offer stunning views of the coastline. But did you know that Co Mayo, Ireland is home to many other impressive cliffs?
Our Mayo cliffs photography tour takes us to some of Mayo’s most majestic locations along the north coast of Co Mayo.
We start our tour at the beautiful sea stack famously known for it’s part in the Redbull Cliff Diving series. Even on a dull morning, this place still makes for great photography. The sea stack is an impressive 45 meters high and is home to many birds. The sea stack and the neighbouring cliffs were formed approximately 350 million years ago.
Portacloy Beach is not know very well among tourists, so it’s relatively quite making photographing a pleasure. There is also a shot cliff walk which will allow us to photograph the bay and cliffs from a higher angle as well as take in the amazing sights the coastline has to offer.
Benwee Head has an amazing cliff walk with the cliffs at around 250 meters at the highest point. This location boasts many different compositions the get beautiful photos making it very difficult to walk away emptied handed. This part of the coastline is nothing short of magnificent.
